Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 20, 2026

All analysis happens on-device. Your messages are never sent to a server — not ours, not anyone's.

No account, no login. We have no user database, because we don't need one.

We don't collect personal data. The only data processed is what Apple itself handles for your purchase.

1. Data Controller

StopBro is developed and published by Global Gaming ApS, Denmark. Contact us at privacy@stopbro.dk with any questions about this policy.

2. What We Don't Collect

StopBro is built not to collect personal data. Concretely, that means:

3. How Message Filtering Works

StopBro uses Apple's built-in Message Filter framework (on iPhone) and equivalent native filtering capabilities (on Android) to analyze incoming messages directly on your device.

Analysis happens entirely locally, in real time, and the result (block/allow) never leaves the phone. We have no technical means of seeing the content of your messages, whether they're blocked or not.

iPhone limitation

For security reasons, Apple only allows filtering of messages from senders not already saved in your contacts. This is a limitation set by Apple, not something we can change.

4. Purchases and Subscriptions

Subscription purchases are handled by Apple's StoreKit system. Payment details (card numbers, Apple ID, etc.) are processed by Apple, not by us — we have no access to them. We only receive confirmation of whether a subscription is active, via Apple's own on-device record (Transaction.currentEntitlements), which stays local to your device.

See Apple's Privacy Policy for information on how Apple handles payment data.

5. Regional Support Resources

StopBro shows local support resources (e.g. SAMHSA in the US, FRANK in the UK) based on your phone's region setting. This setting is read and used entirely locally on your device to show the right content — it's never sent to us or any third party.

6. Children's Privacy

StopBro is not directed at children under 13, and does not collect data from any user regardless of age — precisely because the app doesn't collect personal data at all. If StopBro is installed on a minor's phone (e.g. by a parent), the exact same on-device principle applies: nothing leaves the device.

7. Your Rights

Under GDPR, you would normally have the right to access, correct, delete, and port your data. Because StopBro doesn't collect or store personal data about you, there is genuinely nothing for us to provide, correct, or delete — no user profile or dataset tied to you exists in our systems.

You always have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Denmark: Datatilsynet) if you believe your rights have been violated.

8. Changes to This Policy

We'll update this page if the app's functionality changes in a way that affects privacy. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page. Material changes will be highlighted in the app's store description at the next update.
